Our Pastor

Pastor Luevenia Daniels Dewitt was born and raised in Dothan, North Carolina.  She is the oldest of three children born to the late, Ms. Cosie Lucille Daniels.  Pastor Dewitt graduated from the former Douglas High School in Tabor City, North Carolina.  Shortly after, she moved to New Jersey where she attended the Jersey School of Nursing.  She is the loving mother of three children: Christopher, Adrian, and Chronical and the proud grandmother of five.  She earned her Bachelor of Ministry from Bible Way Institute of New England.

From 1970 to 1978, she was a faithful and dutiful member of Deliverance Prayer Revival Tabernacle, where she served as a missionary, choir member, and intercessor.  Under the leadership of Pastor Elois Bellemy, Pastor Dewitt learned to pray, fast, seek God, and received her call to the ministry.  She was licensed and ordained by the late, Apostle Authero Skinner.

In 1978, Pastor Dewitt and family moved back to North Carolina where she started a prayer band in the home of her mother.  It was in a house that God spoke to her and said, “Build my people a temple”.  In 1983, Pastor Dewitt became the founder and establisher of Deliverance Prayer Temple located in the Bennett Town Section of Loris, South Carolina.  On March 3, 1996, not only was the new edifice dedicated, history was made.  When asked how she felt, Pastor Dewitt exclaimed, “TO GOD BE THE GLORY”.

Because of her faith in God and commitment to serve Him, the blessings of God added to her.  She has increased in wisdom and talent.  She has written and directed several plays.  Among them are “God is Trying to Tell You Something”, “Come Out the Hog Pen”, “I Said I Wasn’t Gonna Tell Nobody”, and “Why Hell?”.  To her credit, she has directed weddings, supervised the annual Miss Teen Deliverance Pageant, and conducted numerous seminars on Christian Ethics, Marriage and Family, and Leadership.  She has taught courses in home health care at Horry Georgetown Technical College.  In 1998, she was the guest speaker for Black History Day at Columbia College in Columbia, South Carolina.  In the year of 2000, one of Pastor Dewitt's deepest desires for the ministry was fulfilled.  Deliverance Prayer Temple entered into a covenant agreement to become a member of the Christian Covenant Fellowship of Ministries, under the leadership of Bishop Michael A. Blue, the founding prelate.  The CCFM is a network of ministry leaders, along with their congregations, who have come together in unity to be enriched spiritually for the sole purpose of advancing the Kingdom of God and the fulfillment of Divine Purpose.

In July 2007, Pastor Dewitt will complete her master degree in Administration Organization through International Apostolic University of Grace and Truth located in Dayton, Ohio.  In addition, she has been honored with an inclusion in the 2007-2008 edition of the Cambridge Who’s Who Registry of Executives and Professionals.

Pastor Dewitt is a powerful preacher and awesome teacher.  She is a true friend and a loving mother to all who meet her.  She has a special love for children, teenagers, and the elderly.  Pastor Dewitt's greatest desire is that the will of God be fulfilled in the lives of all and to know Christ more intimately
